Dr. Hood provides an overview of some of his recent research in a recent installment of the Bold Future Podcast.

 

Dr. Hood’s research focuses on the impact of social networks, personality and conflict on learning, innovation and strategic decision making in teams. His research and teaching are informed by his experience as an entrepreneur and 10 year career as a network engineer and systems designer for AT&T. Dr. Hood’s research has been published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior; Journal of Business & Psychology; and Production and Operations Management among others. His research has been presented both domestically and internationally at conferences such as the Academy of Management, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Strategic Management Society, Babson Entrepreneurship Conference, and the Sunbelt Conference for Social Networks Analysis. A portion of Dr. Hood’s research has been funded by a Community Health Innovation Award—-an initiative of the UAB Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences.
